Your Role

As Software Test Engineer for Embedded Systems, your main mission will be to create and implement verification tests (IBM ETM (RQM), TestNG, xUnit, Cucumber, GoogleTest, TPT) for Embedded Software linked with state-of-the-art Medical Devices.

For this role, you will have the opportunity to work with flexible working hours and with home office option.

Your Tasks

  • You develop manual and automated test cases with the help of suitable test frameworks (e.g., IBM ETM (RQM), TestNG, xUnit, Cucumber, GoogleTest, TPT) using the associated programming languages (Java, C / C ++)
  • You create, maintain, implement and document verification tests for embedded software
  • You ensure the SW test competence in the agile development team
  • You setup and develop product-specific HIL test environments with debug and trace tools (Lauterbach) and microcontroller boards
  • You participate in the development and expansion of an in-house test infrastructure for automated testing of applications (HW / SW)
  • You expand specialist knowledge with regard to automated and cross-platform testing of software (Class IIb Medical Device) in cooperation with internal and external partners

Your Profile

  • Completed Engineer degree (FH / ETH), specializing in electrical engineering, communications engineering, computer science or similar
  • Several years of testing embedded software experience in C / C ++ within a regulated field
  • Experience with automated test environments for embedded software or devices
  • Good Java expertise
  • Experience with agile project methods
  • Further training in software testing is an advantage (e.g., ISTQB Certified Software Tester) and medical software (e.g., IEC 62304) is an advantage
  • Pronounced team player in a small, multidisciplinary team
  • Highly motivated to develop yourself and your work environment further
  • Very good command of German and English
